Tex is a Van De Samaika dog, his parents were imported from Belgium and he has the beautiful traits of the Van De Samaika kennel: an incredible head, beautiful markings, big bones and the magnificent heavy charcoal coat that seems to be more present in European lines. Of course his greatest asset is his temperament: his loving ways, intelligence, playfulness, loyalty, easygoing tolerance and trustworthiness endeared him to us more than we could ever have dreamed.
Tex is first and foremost part of our family and is always with us. He is neither a guard dog nor a watch dog; rather he is a 120 pounds lap dog. He can run across our 3 acres garden in less than 1 minute, pound down our three year old in less than 3 seconds, and catch a Frisbee in the air like a puppy, but once in the house, he loves to lay right in the middle of our leaving room in between the kids, the kittens, the toys, and everything else…and takes a nap!!!
He is AKC & IABCA registered, and he is an International Champion. In order to promote his lines, we have recently welcomed in our home a beautiful puppy: Frida. She is imported from Belgium, and we are thankful to Susan and the Van Stokerybos Kennel to send us such a beautiful and spirited Bernese Mountain Dog.
